Artist Statement

The character(s) in these paintings represent everyday people. By using color/form in a playful way, I create illustrations that present the character(s) in the daily challenges we go through, trying to maintain ourselves in everyday life.
Biography

Martin Malvar is a Filipino American artist currently living in San Francisco. Malvar was very influenced by art at a very young age by his family, and later earned his BFA in studio art at San Francisco State University. Malvars influences come from skateboarding and the people he has met in the Bay Area art community.
